D4 - Justify How The Connection Types Are Appropriate For The Different Multiplayer Gaming Experiences
Following on from M4 you need to justify how the TYPE of connection is appropriate for different multi player gaming experiences.
How does the connection affect game play?
Does the type of connection affect how the game is played?
How does the connection affect game play?
Does the type of connection affect how the game is played?
learners must justify from the available connection types how each is appropriate for the different multi-player gaming experiences.
It may be beneficial for the learners to be given a scenario which enables them to research and discuss different connections for different users with a view to providing a final judgement. This could be an expansion on the merit criteria and learners should include costs, speed, number of users and user locations. Findings should be well documented and justifications clearly explained.
M4 - Explain The Different Connection Types For Multiplayer Gaming
To follow on from P4 - Apply techniques to connect and configure platforms and devices
with some assistance where you connected different devices and platforms and configured games.
Create an Information Booklet showing / explaining how to connect for multi player gaming.
Create an Information Booklet showing / explaining how to connect for multi player gaming.
- Wi-Fi
- Wide Area Network (WAN) e.g. and on-line game of FIFA or Call of Duty.
- Cabled devices to platforms e.g. mouse, paddle, joystick, wheel, guitar, pedals, 360 Kinect
- Wireless devices to platforms e.g. joystick, controller, wheel.
The information should instruct the user HOW to connect for multi player gaming.
